Our History
1999 The Beginning
Nuno Barrinho purchases his first truck, starting operations in road freight transport. This marks the birth of the company that would become Barrinho Transportes, Lda.
2007 Renewal
New shareholder António Vieira Rodrigues joins; transition to a public limited company; substantial fleet investment and an updated corporate identity (new logo).
2010 Facilities
Following strong growth between 2007 and 2010, new facilities are built and the headquarters move to the current site in Loureira.
2012 Certification
ISO 9001 is complemented with requirements for transporting food products (HACCP) and high-value goods (TAPA TSR).
2014 Logistics
Completion of a warehouse dedicated to logistics operations.
2016 Security
Achievement of TAPA TSR certification, strengthening the protection of staff and cargo.
2018/19 Environment
ISO 14001 certification of the environmental management system and GDP certification for pharmaceutical distribution.
2024 Barrinho Group
Creation of the Barrinho Group with NUNOC Transportes e Logística and IMONUNOC Investimentos e Serviços.
2025 Today
Ongoing growth in fleet, team, and geographic reach. Commitment to FSSC 22000 certification.
